Something that makes Minstrels Gallery unique is the number of instruments we play, at the last count it was around forty but we are always adding to our collection. Even if you book Minstrels Gallery as a duo we still come with the full compliment of instruments. The picture here shows some of the main ones. |

| The long drum has a gut snare stretched across its playing head. The drums importance as military instrument developed through the Middle Ages. It was used to intimidate the enemy and became increasingly important as a signaling device. Different drumbeats had significant meanings leading to some of the rudiments the modern drummer learns. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
